Summary:

(Map)   The Republic of Moldova is a landlocked state in Eastern Europe located between Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. It declared itself an independent state with the same boundaries as the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1991 as part of the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Eric and Stephanie Chapman moved to Eastern Europe in the mid-1990’s with their four daughters. For well over a decade they have directed youth camps each summer in Moldova. Now God has opened doors for them to equip young men as teachers of the Word; they have started a Bible Institute and trade school. They have eager students and a few teachers; this school will not follow a standard structure: the students will work the fields in the summers with their families and villages, then school terms will start after harvest; except for the Chapmans, all the teachers are now nationals. The economy does not allow for ministers to be supported by their congregations, so the students learn a trade so they can earn their livelihood.
