Three WordWalk leaders started the year with the first of three teaching-trips to Malawi this year.  See and read more about their trip to teach Paul’s epistles: click here

Our second WordWalk trip to Malawi in April was a partnership with Eric to teach two schools with new pastors from northern Malawi: Mike taught Hebrews in the Zomba and Shire locations and the men showed enthusiastic responses to the connections to the Temple and the Priesthood.

During the third teaching trip,  September 14 – October 1, 2017, we taught two pastor schools as planned, and we were able to increase our impact for the kingdom in Malawi by facilitating two schools with 120 men and women eager to teach scripture to children and supplement the work of pastors in their village churches.

Summary:

EricChapman1 In Malawi WordWalk partners with Eric & Stephanie Chapman, founders of Eurasian Baptist Mission.  In just a few years God has miraculously blessed their ministry in Malawi with responses to his gospel. They cannot keep pace with the churches being birthed in the villages. As these churches grew, the need to train pastors became critical, and in response, Eric and his team began to organize seasonal pastors’ schools to meet this need.

In 2015 and 2016, two school buildings were completed!  Because travel is limited and survival depends on harvest seasons, the classes must be held close to the villages and timed strategically.  In 2015 and 2016 WordWalk taught Pastors’ sessions in both regions (Zomba and the Shire) while also helping to complete the school buildings. Now Pastors’ Schools are being held in both locations!
